Medium: Paint on Wood
Size: 9’ X 4.5’ X 4’
Kornhill Plaza, HK, 2022
Inspired from the Dutch state-of-the-art water management system and sustainable urban development, the sculpture Blossom Love uses wood to envision iconic Dutch tulips, houseboat and sea waves to symbolise the Dutch spirit in tackling the challenges of water and to praise urban resilience. The artist specially combines Hong Kong’s commonly found Golden Birdwing butterfly in the art piece to demonstrate the similarity between Hong Kong and the Netherlands and wish the two places can both build a liveable city in solidarity.

Medium: Paper Clay, Seashell and Green Lawn
Size: 6’ X 3’
Kornhill Plaza, HK, 2022
The artwork is about a romantic story between Mr. Seashell and Ms. Butterfly. While Mr. Seashell symbolizes Love and Eternity, Ms. Butterfly conveys Transformation and Hope. They fall in love with each other and embark on the journey of hope, composing every novel chapter with a positive impact.
Artist May Yeung did leaf stamp on butterfly wings made of paper clay, encouraging the public to be in touch with the nature. The traits of seashell and butterfly are especially significant during the transformative times of the pandemic. Do not lose hope especially when one is facing uncertainty or hard time.
