Fill Central with Love is an interactive, multi-media installation that features the transformative landscape of Central and Victoria Habour in the past century. The highlight of the installation is Central Market, the first wet market in Hong Kong. Beyond 2D collages of iconic buildings, the work presents 3D elements, such as origami and weaved flowers made by artist May Yeung. Under the guidance of the artist, grassroots children fill in colours of trams and local fish species on iPads. They are amazed that their drawings are transformed into animations on a large screen. Through this work co-created by the artist and the children, May aims to raise awareness of heritage conservation, as well as promoting art accessibility.
