Love and be loved, and you will reach the state of ikigai. As a sequel of Ichi (One) for Dutch Days in Hong Kong, May is proud to present Ikigai (State of Being) as part of Orbital Aritual for Papay Gyro Nights Arts Festival. Amazed by the fragility of life and power of the universe, the artist creates a series of orbit-inspired sculptures. As we embark on a journey towards the sun, it casts a shadow of our burden behind us. Through the acceptance of light, and darkness, and the discovery of ourselves in others, we unlock the fullness of life and experience delight in daily happenings. By having the courage to establish individual agency, we turn denial into acceptance, chaos into order, and hope into opportunity. We widen the sphere of our vision and explore new territories in life. Time to transform fear into happiness, freedom and peace.
